Goal Making In A Different Way

Focusing on different ways to hit our goal.

Establishing a goal is how we start working toward achieving it, but just because you make a goal doesn’t mean you’ll achieve it. Think about all those New Year’s resolutions. At the same time, you need them to have direction and structure. Here is a way to look at things differently, allowing you to get an edge and save time.

Stop Overfocusing On The Goal!

Why focus so much on the goal? Sure, you stay motivated by looking at your hard work make progress. They should be the most crucial step. Everyone should have a clear goal. But if that were the case, why are there winners and losers? Why do we only reach some goals and not others? If making goals was the key, all of us would get them 100% of the time.

Do not rise to your goals; fall to your systems

Instead of focusing on the outcome, focus on how. After deciding to change, think about what a successful you would do in the same situation. What should you do less off? What could you replace with something else?

It’s all about finding your end goal and working your way back. You usually go from your current self to a new self after your change. What if you changed yourself first and changed your habits?

Change How You View Yourself

Focus on this new identity first to try and form some accountability for yourself. Afterward, one of two things will happen: you will subconsciously act like the new version of yourself or feel uneasy when you believe one thing and do another. This dissonance will encourage you to keep your word and become this new person.

Afterword

If you get anything from this post, stop spending all your time planning. Because if you do, you lose out on valuable time. Draft together a list of things and start. Personalize your approach as you get closer to finishing your list. Then when you get to your destination, it will be easier to do it all again.
